"Om Mani Padme Hum" ONYX pendant & 14 carat "GOLD fill" 18" chain.

This classic and understated pendant has the sacred "Om Mani Padme Hum" mantra carved in 6 Tibetan symbols around a 10mm ONYX bead.
I've wired it with beautiful beautiful 14 carat ‘gold fill’ findings, onto a simple 'O' ring and added an 18" 14 carat 'gold fill' trace chain, to last the test of time.
MEANING OF "OM MANI PADME HUM"
It is said that all the teachings of the Buddha are contained in this mantra, and it cannot be easily be translated into a simple phrase or sentence.
The first word OM is a sacred syllable representing the sound and power of the entire universe. The second word Mani means "jewel" or "bead", Padme is the "lotus flower" (the Buddhist sacred flower), and Hum represents the spirit of enlightenment.
Buddhists believe that reciting the mantra (prayer), “Om Mani Padme Hum”, out loud or silently to oneself, brings the powerful benevolent blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of COMPASSION.
