The beads are ONYX, which have been carved with the sacred mantra in six Sanskrit symbols around each bead, highlighted in gold.
This bracelet comes in 2 designs:-
1) Slimline 6mm beads with THREE 8mm focal beads
2) Standard 8mm beads with ONE 10mm focal bead
Each bracelet is strung on super strong jewellers grade stretch material, and accented with 14 carat gold fill beads. Ladies sizes are also accented with my signature Paula-Rose rose gold alloy charm.
MEANING OF "OM MANI PADME HUM"
It is said that all the teachings of the Buddha are contained in this mantra, and it cannot be easily be translated into a simple phrase or sentence.
The first word OM is a sacred syllable representing the sound and power of the entire universe. The second word Mani means "jewel" or "bead", Padme is the "lotus flower" (the Buddhist sacred flower), and Hum represents the spirit of enlightenment.
Buddhists believe that reciting the mantra (prayer), “Om Mani Padme Hum”, out loud or silently to oneself, brings the powerful benevolent blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of COMPASSION.
