"Om Mani Padme Hum" ONYX earrings set in 14 Carat GOLD fill.
Wear these earrings to bring the energy of this sacred mantra into your consciousness. To remind you of the lessons of compassion towards others as well as ourselves.
The beads are 8mm ONYX, which have been carved with the sacred mantra in six Sanskrit symbols around each bead, highlighted in gold. The ear wires are hand hammered by me in gorgeous 14 carat ‘gold fill’ wire, a fantastic alternative to solid gold but without the cost.
MEANING OF "OM MANI PADME HUM"
Each of the six syllables are written in ancient Sanskrit. Tibetan Buddhists believe that reciting the mantra (prayer), “Om Mani Padme Hum”, out loud or silently to oneself, brings the powerful benevolent blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of COMPASSION.
OM - teaches generosity
MA - helps you practice pure ethics
NI - brings tolerance and patience
PAD - brings perseverance
ME - brings concentration
HUM - brings wisdom

It is a far far superior product to gold plating. 14 carat gold is permanently bonded to an alloy core (like gold plating is), but typically up to 100 times thicker than standard gold plating.
