These sumptuous earrings are made with faceted golden PYRITE beads, which I've wired in silver, onto my hand hammered ear wires.

IRON PYRITE name is derived from the Greek ‘pyros’ meaning “fire” because the stone produces a spark when hit. It was used in the Stone Age to make fire and so being a “firestone” has the associations with power, and in the Middle Ages the alchemists believed that pyrite could be turned into gold. It’s appearance looks like gold … hence the common name “fools gold”. it was highly prized as a healing stone in antiquity.
It is an excellent stone for boosting energy, power, vitality and willpower. Helps to overcome anxiety and promotes a ‘can-do’ attitude. Said to increase mental clarity, focus, and resolve it promotes the development of ones ‘inner warrior’. It’s also a helpful tool to balance polarities and create harmony in the ‘auric field’.
