Peruvian (Andean) PINK OPAL is the national stone of Peru.
It can only be found in the Andes mountains, and is a relatively rare gemstone. They are considered as a gift from Pachamama, the earliest Inca goddess of fruitfulness and Mother Earth.
Pink Opal helps bring peace & tranquility. Lovingly supporting you to release anxiety, worry, and calm frayed nerves. It is soothing to the emotional body, helping to bring a sense of calm, peace, love and hope.
The word ‘opal’ derives from the Sanskrit ‘Upala’ and the Latin ‘Opalus’ meaning “precious stone.” Opal is a hydrated silica mineral which comprises of microscopic spheres of silica which are bound together with water and silica.
