This gorgeous dainty earrings are handcrafted by me using delicately faceted genuine TURQUOISE beads, wired onto my hand forged Stg SILVER, or 14ct GOLD fill ear wires.
Turquoise is one of the most beautiful and ancient gemstones, and has long been cherished and associated with many ancient civilizations. Archaeological excavations have found turquoise jewellery dating back as far as 3000 BC, and the earliest use of the gemstone dating back to 6000 BC. Turquoise was also found in King Tutankhamun, and his famous burial mask was also inlaid with turquoise.
Turquoise has long been considered a holy stone by American Indians who also believed it was a magic stone providing protection against harm.
