These classic earrings are handmade by me using precious metals, and mounted on solid STERLING SILVER or 14ct GOLD fill hand forged & hand hammered ear-wires.

In Ancient folklore Pearls were thought to be the tears of gods. A pearl necklace worn four thousand years ago by the Persian queen Achemenid can still be admired today. The pearl jewelry of the Queen of Sheba has become legendary. Pearls are from the marine animal kingdom, but most often they are considered precious stones.
Wisdom has long been associated with pearls, hence the saying ... "pearls of wisdom".
The planet Venus is also associated with the pearl. The goddess of love arose from the sea, and the pearl is definitely seen as a feminine jewel.
Pearls symbolise purity and are known as a “stone of sincerity”. They also historically symbolise, innocence and faith. Pearls are also said to enhance personal integrity and help clear the mind so that it can be a clean channel for wisdom and spiritual guidance.
